In 2011, Geoff transitioned from being an employee at Formet Industries to becoming an independent consultant for high speed laser cutting, robotics and automation systems.
In this capacity Geoff worked in mainland China where he advised on the selection and installation of the first 5-axis laser cutting systems at Cosma China's greenfield Chongqing plant. He provided training and liaison support between his client and the laser manufacturer/integrator during the installation process. Furthermore, Geoff trained local workers to operate, program, and maintain their Fanuc robots at both Cosma Chongqing and Cosma Changsha greenfield plants.
